No. of Children In Our Programme ●427
In Osiligi and nearby villages, the distance between health centers is vast—often several kilometers apart. Mothers in labor, especially during emergencies, are forced to walk or be carried long distances. Tragically, one mother recently passed away while giving birth to twins because she couldn’t reach medical help in time.
We aim to build a health center at Osiligi Primary School—not only to serve the students but also to care for the broader community. This facility will provide maternal care, regular checkups, nutrition support (including deworming and vitamin supplementation), and ensure school children grow up healthy and strong.
Osiligi Primary School isn’t just a place for learning—it’s a hub for the community. By situating a health center here, we bring care to where people already gather. Mothers dropping off children can get antenatal checkups. Kids can receive regular deworming and vitamin support. Teachers can spot health issues early. This isn’t just smart—it’s life-changing.
In Kajiado County, it’s common to walk over 10 kilometers to the nearest clinic. For the elderly, children, and pregnant women, this can be impossible. Emergencies become tragedies when help is out of reach. The health gap is real—and it’s measured in lost lives. But together, we can bridge it.
Before a child can learn, they must be healthy. Before a mother can work, she must survive childbirth. Before a father can farm, he must have strength. Health is not a luxury—it’s the foundation of life. The proposed health center at Osiligi is not just about treatment; it’s about giving people the chance to live with dignity and purpose.
