John Gitau is the Chairman of the VEE Board and a seating Director. He is an accountant by profession but experienced in working with vulnerable communities with the goal of individual economic empowerment or community projects that change the livelihood of communities. He has more than ten years experience working with NGOs like Trust for African Rock Art whose mission is to conserve Rock arts by coming up with conservation projects. The quest to change lives is what pushed him and his partner in collaboration with Vineyard Kenya Movement to establish VEE with the sole purpose of economically empowering communities. He is passionate about touching/changing peoples’ lives by making it better through available resources or those that can be accessed.

Elvis is a visionary entrepreneur in the automobile and construction industry. He is the current Chief Executive Officer of Village Economic Empowerment and the Secretary Ex-officio to the VEE board.He is pioneered in establishing transport solutions company, construction company and business empowerment non-governmental organization. He is a strong and avid believer in sustainability for development. His aura and determination is often geared towards empowering communities for the greater common good. He is passionate about farming and this forms a huge basis for him seeking to change the Agricultural realm in Africa; more specifically for small scale commercial producers.
